Capture 14

Capture 14 went very well! I'm so proud of all of my group,

They’ve all done a fantastic job on not only Paper Chase but on Morning Glory too, i've never been more happy to have worked with a group or more proud of what that group have made.

Fine Cut

The Fine Cut screening went excellently as hoped. All feedback from lecturers indicated that they were happy with the film. the only major complaint was that the outside montage scene went on too long, I will be working with Dan and Jess to fix this.

Sound Edit

I have worked closely with Dan on his sound edit, in particular his soundtrack, as it was extremely important that we get it right. The soundtrack chosen is benny Hawes’s work and fits in well with the piece. 

Rough Cut

The rough-cut screening did not go as planned, due to jess not converting the rough cut from her computer in time we were only able to show the film to Chrissie and Sussannah on jess’s laptop. However, most of the feedback was very positive, including praise for the writing, Courtneys acting and my directing specifically. There were some complaints about that the sound made some lines not have the right impact, I suspect this will be solved in the fine cut screening. Other issues that were raised were that colour correction would be needed on certain scenes and that some trimming was needed for timing purposes.

Picture edit

I have been working closely with Jess on the edit of the film. I am very happy with jess’s progress and aside from a few small suggestions I have asked for little to be changed.
